AI-Powered Fire Detection System

Vision-Based Fire & Smoke Detection For An Industrial Facility.

The Problem

Conventional Fire Detection Relies On Physical Smoke And Heat Sensors That Only Trigger Once A Fire Has Already Developed. In An Industrial Setting Full Of Machinery, Chemicals And High-Value Assets, That Delay Can Be Catastrophic. The Client Needed Something Smarter, Faster And More Scalable, Without Ripping Out Their Existing Infrastructure.

What We Built

A Real-Time, Vision-Based Fire And Smoke Detection System That Plugs Directly Into The Facility’s Existing Camera Infrastructure, With No New Hardware And No Disruption To Operations.

Using Computer Vision And AI, The System Continuously Analyzes Live Video Feeds From Multiple Zones Across The Factory Floor. The Moment Fire Or Smoke Is Detected In Any Zone, It Instantly Triggers Real-Time Alerts To Security And Safety Staff, Activates Site Alarms With No Human Intervention, Fires The Sprinkler System In The Affected Zone, And Surfaces Everything On A Live Monitoring Dashboard.

Critically, The Entire Inference Runs On-Device (Edge Computing), Meaning Zero Dependence On Internet Connectivity And Near-Zero Latency Between Detection And Response.

Key Highlights

  • On-Device Edge Inference, No Cloud, Near-Zero Latency
  • Plugs Into Existing Cameras, No New Hardware
  • Multi-Zone, Multi-Camera Simultaneous Monitoring
  • Automated Alarm + Sprinkler Response, No Human In The Loop
  • Live Operator Dashboard Across All Zones
