Ordinary Lads Sells 3D Visual Storytelling And Immersive Web Experiences, So Their Own Website Had To Be The Proof. A Template Or A Page Builder Was Never An Option: The Site Itself Needed To Feel Like A Piece From Their Showreel, Visually Distinctive, Cinematic In Motion And Technically Seamless, While Still Loading Fast, Ranking On Search And Staying Editable By The Studio Without A Developer In The Loop.
What We Built
We Designed And Engineered The Entire Experience From A Blank Canvas. The Centerpiece Is A Hand-Written WebGL Layer, No Three.js, No Off-The-Shelf Library, With Custom GLSL Vertex And Fragment Shaders Driving A GPU-Accelerated Fluid Field That Reacts To The Cursor And The Scroll. Because The Simulation Runs Entirely On The GPU, The Piece Holds A Steady Frame Rate On Everything From A Gaming Rig To A Mid-Range Phone.
Motion Is The Language Of The Whole Site: Lenis-Powered Buttery Smooth Scrolling, Scroll-Driven Storytelling Through Each Section, Choreographed Reveals And Micro-Interactions On Every Surface, All Set In A Moody Dark Aesthetic With Hanken Grotesk Typography. The Work Section Presents Cinematic Case Studies, From AI Product Launches To Mixed-Reality Experiences, Each With Its Own Visual Identity, Gradient World And Deep-Dive Story Page.
Under The Immersion Sits A Serious Platform. The Frontend Is React + Vite For Instant Loads, The Backend Is Supabase With A Bespoke Headless CMS: Every Heading, Paragraph, Service Tier, Price And Case Study Is Editable From A Custom Admin Panel, With Transactional Email Through Resend And SEO Wired In From Day One. Ordinary Lads Publish New Work And Update Pricing Themselves, No Developer Required.
